Reiki Story
Reiki is thought to come from Tibet several thousand years ago. It was dicovered in the early 20th century by a Japanese Buddhist, Dr. Mikao Usui in the early 20th century (seen in my Masters Certificate illustrated above). The "Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki" is the method I use when I heal others. The name Reiki name when broken into its two parts. Pronounced Ray-Key has two meanings from this combined word to describe. Rei means closely to the English words universal, cosmic Higher Power or Gods Wisdom and relates to the spiritual dimension of our souls. Ki means the life giving energy force that that is directed from God into all living things for life to occur. It also means mysterious atmosphere; spiritual power. This force is the same force that flows and keeps everyone alive. Because the force is God given it is available to everyone whom wants to share in this beautiful gift. Because it is an energy supply that flows through and around us naturally, we are able to use and accept as much of this energy to help us heal emotionally as well as physically.
